Child Safety Standards
Last updated: October 3, 2026
Pawfile is an app for pet owners, pet lovers and pet-care professionals. It includes profiles, photos, comments and direct messages between users. These standards apply to the Pawfile app on iOS and Android and to this website. Pawfile has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
1. What is prohibited
You must not use Pawfile to:
- Upload, share, request or link to child sexual abuse material, including drawn, edited or AI-generated material.
- Sexualise minors in any way, in photos, videos, captions, comments, profiles or messages.
- Groom, solicit or try to contact a minor for sexual purposes, or arrange to meet a minor for such purposes.
- Sextort, threaten or coerce anyone, or share intimate images of a minor.
- Traffic, advertise or facilitate the sexual exploitation of a child.
These rules are part of our Terms & Conditions, which also set a minimum age of 13 and require users under 18 to have a parent or guardian's permission.
2. How to report
In the app: open the person's profile or your message thread with them, tap the menu, choose Report and select Inappropriate content. From the same menu you can Block them: a block stops messages, follows and comments in both directions.
On the web: use our Support page, choose Report a User, include the person's User ID (shown on their profile) and describe what you saw. Please do not attach or forward the material itself.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency number first.
3. What we do
- We review every child-safety report as a priority.
- We remove CSAE content as soon as we find it or are told about it, and permanently ban the accounts involved.
- Where the law requires it, we report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the relevant authorities and preserve the information they need.
- We cooperate with law enforcement investigations in line with applicable law.
4. How Pawfile is built to protect people
- Anyone can be blocked and reported from their profile or a message thread.
- Users can turn off direct messages, make their profile private and approve followers.
- Live walk locations are shown to strangers only as an approximate pin, never as a route, and only when the walker chooses to share.
- Uploads are restricted to images and videos from signed-in users.
5. Compliance
Pawfile complies with applicable child safety laws and regulations, and these standards are consistent with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy and the Apple App Store Review Guidelines.
6. Child safety contact
Pawfile's designated child safety contact can be reached through the Support page (category Report a User). Reports about child safety are read and acted on by the person responsible for Pawfile's moderation.
